My Medicine for Artist Visa Madness

🎨 Crimson, ruby, magenta, cerise... most people get prescription drugs, but for me, this right here is my medicine 💊💉💊

For those of you who were wondering where I've disappeared to:

Last year I started the application process for an artist visa which will allow me to live in the US for 3 years. The visa application turned out to be a very prolonged and draining process, anyone who's ever been through it knows what I'm talking about.

I literally did nothing else but gather paperwork while I was in Cape Town from January to March. Madness!

The 422-page application (yes, four-hundred-and-twenty-two pages!) was finally submitted last month. One would think that having this crazy task off my desk and being able to finally paint again would be a relief. But instead, the feeling of being 'up in the air' creeped in.

I will only have an outcome in a month or two and the fact that there's some officer deciding over my future has seriously gotten under my skin and definitely challenged my usually positive spirit.

Anyhow, I'm feeling better now and have found my way back to my brushes and paint.

THANK YOU to everyone who's been sticking around for such a long time without any updates, I appreciate you more than you can imagine 🙏♥️🙏

PS: If any of you have questions regarding the artist visa or the process, please feel free to ask in the comments. I'm happy to share what I've learned in case you're considering a similar move. 🤓 💕
